Our Vision

We believe that healthy brachycephalic dogs can indeed be bred, provided that strict health criteria are followed. Through internationally recognized research and testing, we aim to demonstrate that the current negative perception of these breeds is unjustified.

Our Mission

• The preservation and continued existence of brachycephalic dog breeds with an FCI pedigree.
• The lifting of the government ban on breeding these breeds.
• The amendment of the announced ban on keeping, trading, and showing these breeds.
• The end of puppy farming and illegal trade in these dog breeds.
• Improving public perception by clearly distinguishing between responsibly bred healthy dogs and those originating from puppy farms.

Our Objectives 

In accordance with Article 2 of the Articles of Association:

Article 2 – Objective 1. The foundation’s objective is the preservation and protection of brachycephalic dog breeds with a Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) pedigree, as well as improving the public image of brachycephalic dogs and promoting the health and welfare of these breeds, including everything related to or conducive to this purpose. This objective does not include making distributions to the founder or to those who are part of the foundation’s governing bodies. The foundation seeks to achieve its goal, among other things, by collecting and mapping relevant data, developing an improved registration system, facilitating the execution of health testing outside the Netherlands, and shaping a more accurate public perception through improved media reporting.

Article 3.5 of the Articles of Association.

5. All directors may receive reimbursement of the costs they have reasonably incurred in the performance of their duties. The directors do not receive any remuneration for their work.
