What a fantastic day we had! Last Sunday, 6 September, we were guests at Zwembad de Bosselaar in Zevenbergen for the annual dog splash. And how lucky we were with the weather: the sun was shining brightly and the atmosphere was great from the very start.
๐พ Our KBB Stand: Meetings and Conversations
Early in the morning we had set up our red Stichting KBB stand on the grassy field next to the pool. It was wonderful to see how well the stand was visited. We spoke with so many lovely, interested people. Many of them wanted to know exactly what Stichting KBB stands for, and we passionately told them about our goals and our work for dogs.
๐ฆ Fun for Young and Old
The event was divided up to give every dog a fair chance at some swimming fun. The first hour was reserved for the smaller dogs. What an adorable sight to see those brave little ones splashing into the water!
After that it was the turn of the bigger dogs, and what a spectacle it was! Water splashed in every direction. It was a joy to watch the dogs enjoy themselves, chase after balls, and simply have a wonderful time playing. The photos speak for themselves:
๐ฉน A Minor Setback, Well Handled
Unfortunately there was also a small incident. One dog had suffered a nasty injury to its hind leg. Because safety is always our top priority, we immediately referred the dog to the first-aid post of Dierenartsenpraktijk Zevenbergen. Thankfully, the dog was well cared for there. Sadly, swimming was over for him, which was of course a great shame. We wish the brave four-legged friend a speedy recovery!

All in all, we look back on a very successful, sunny and busy day. We would like to thank the team at Zwembad de Bosselaar for the excellent cooperation, Dierenartsenpraktijk Zevenbergen for being on standby, and of course all the dogs and their owners for their wonderful company.
